Prime Video has officially announced that Jamie Campbell Bower and Eddie Marsan are joining the cast of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power for its highly anticipated third season.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power which remains one of Prime Video’s biggest streaming successes, is currently in pre-production and will begin filming this spring at Shepperton Studios in the UK. Jamie Campbell Bower will take on a series regular role, while Eddie Marsan will appear in a recurring capacity.
With over 170 million viewers worldwide, The Rings of Power has cemented itself as one of the most-watched original series on Prime Video. Now, the addition of Jamie Campbell Bower and Eddie Marsan is set to bring even more depth and talent to its sprawling Middle-earth saga.
Jamie Campbell Bower, known for his chilling portrayal of Vecna in Stranger Things, has built an impressive career spanning film, television, and music. His notable credits include playing Gellert Grindelwald in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, as well as leading roles in The Twilight Saga, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, and Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Recently, he appeared in Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1.
A two-time BIFA Award winner, Eddie Marsan has amassed an extensive film and television career. Best known for his role as Terry Donovan in Ray Donovan, Eddie Marsan has also appeared in Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde, Sherlock Holmes, and Mission: Impossible III. His recent projects include Back to Black, Franklin alongside Michael Douglas, and Netflix’s Supacell. Eddie Marsan, a longtime advocate for diversity in the film industry, was recently awarded an OBE for his contributions.
