With all that 2020 has brought the world, we have seen some of our favorite celebrities helping others during these difficult times.
In the most difficult of times it is great to see the good that comes out of it. Throughout this year countless celebrities have donated to numerous causes to help out around the world. Here are the top 5.
Ciara and Russel Wilson
At the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in March, the couple donated 1 million meals to Seattle Food Lifeline. They went on to encourage others who could also donate in their local communities to help out those in need.
The couple recently even teamed up with Amazon Home to give a very deserving frontline worker, Marc Sellier, a home makeover. He works in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Seattle Children’s Hospital. This is just one of the people honored in Amazon’s Hometown Heroes project.
Tyler Perry
Tyler Perry has been known for giving back and this year is no exception. The actor bought the groceries for thousands of seniors and high-risk shoppers back in April. During the designated shopping hours for these customers he paid for the groceries at 29 Winn-Dixie locations in New Orleans and 44 Kroger stores in Atlanta.
Perry also tipped $21,000 at a Houston restaurant in Atlanta! He gave the lucky waiter a tip of their lifetime. Helping them and all the staff of the restaurant, during this difficult time.
For all this and more that he has done, Perry is being honored with the People’s Champion of 2020 Award at the E! People’s Choice Awards.
Kylie Jenner
The reality star and cosmetic mogul made a $1 million donation to supply PPE to healthcare workers on the frontlines. She and her mom Kris Jenner even took it a step further and partnered up with Coty, another cosmetic company, to make hand sanitizers to give out to frontline workers as well.
Chrissy Teigen
After the death of George Floyd when racial justice protests were occurring across the country Chrissy Teigen originally donated $100,000 to the bail and legal defense funds for protesters. After Trump tweeted about it being MAGA night back in May, she decided to double her donation.

The Hamilton creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, supports various Broadway-related foundations. This year in March, he committed $1 million to provide scholarships to students of color through the Miranda Family Fund.
