Keeping Up With The Kardashians will go down in television history as one of the best reality shows that premiered in the late 2000’s The E! Network series introduced millions of fans to the Kardashian-Jenner family and helped the famous bunch maintain thriving careers. It also brought in a number of famous faces.
We watched as weddings were planned, sisters fought, business deals were made and so much more ensue within the Kardashian empire. Perhaps some of the best parts of the 14-year long series were the many celebrities that made cameo appearances.. AfterBuzz TV is looking back at some of the times we were star-studded. See if you remember any of these familiar faces.
One of the very first celebrities to join the KUWTK cast was the founder and former editor-in-chief of Playboy magazine, Hugh Hefner. Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner visit the Playboy mansion in season one, episode four of the series. Hefner later convinced Kim to pose for the magazine, which she remembers as one of her favorite shoots ever.
The same year Kim modeled for Playboy, Rob Kardashian began dating Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon. In 2007, the actress and singer started her relationship with the only Kardashian brother. The Disney star became a reoccurring face in the series, appearing in the reality show a total of eight times until the two broke it off in 2009. She’s since married Israel Houghton and is now a co-host on the daytime talk show, The Real.
Any fan of KUWTK knows Jonathan Cheban is a close friend of the Kardashian family and was seen in many episodes of the original series and the spinoffs. Even though he became a TV personality because of his relationship with the Kardashian sisters, Cheban is now recognized as a self-proclaimed Foodgod. He runs a popular TikTok page and Instagram account that document his experience as a foodie!
Another one of Kim’s close celebrity friends is TV personality, actress, and businesswoman, La La Anthony. The two ladies ran in the same social circle and eventually formed a closed bond that has lasted to this day. La La didn’t frequently appear on the show, but she did make a cameo in season five of the series.
Producer and TV host Ryan Seacrest is another big name celeb on the list who actually played a larger role behind the scenes for KUWTK than he did in front of the camera. Seacrest appeared early on in the series and became a family friend of the Kardashian-Jenners as the series continued. Seacrest is also one of the show’s executive producers, credited for catapulting the series into popularity.
Season six of the reality show was a whirlwind of emotions for the Kardashians and the viewers. We watched one of the biggest moments in pop culture history when Kim married her then-partner and NBA player Kris Humphries. The two-part “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event,” invited a number of celebrities, including singers Avril Lavigne, Demi Lovato, and Robin Thicke.
AfterBuzz TV’s co-founder and leader, Maria Menounos, was even seen attending the storybook wedding. Maria appeared in the second episode of the two-part event, looking glamorous as always! Kim and Kris’s marriage was short-lived as it lasted for only 72 days before Kim filed for a divorce.
Daytime talk show legend and philanthropist Oprah Winfrey also appeared in KUWTK. Oprah visited the famous family for a sit-down interview in their home, which was featured in the “Kardashian Therapy—Part 1” special.
A number of professional athletes have come and gone on the show, including the one and only Alex Rodriguez. The former MLB shortstop and third baseman was asked to join season 15, episode 10’s “‘Let’s Play Ball!’” A-Rod helped the Kardashian-Jenner family in their softball tournament against Tito Jackson’s family. The episode was a homerun!
Pop singer Ariana Grande has rocked the music industry with her charting songs and iconic music videos, so it’s no surprise she’s among the many celebs of KUWTK. Fans saw a behind-the-scenes moment of her “Thank U Next” music video in the reality series since momma Kris made a cameo as the “cool mom.” Seeing the two meet on the video shoot was maybe one of the sweetest moments of season 16.
The list of famous partners, friends, and co-workers feels endless when you consider all the connections the Kardashian-Jenner family has formed over the growth of their empire. The reality show had its ups and downs, but one thing’s for sure… it had plenty of great celebrity cameos!
