Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale remains the most awarded Hulu Originals. The show in total has won 15 Emmy Awards and the Golden Globe for Best Television Series Drama. For a few years The Handmaid’s Tale was THE television show dominating the award circuit. Hulu’s Normal People is a heart wrenching show that keeps you enthralled beginning to end. The Hulu original is great in all aspects but its acting is particularly outstanding, which is why it’s no surprise that Paul Mescal was not only nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, but won the British Academy Television Award for Best Actor. Paul Mescal’s acting could be reason enough to watch this stunning Hulu limited series.

Hulu’s Dopesick might be a lesser known Hulu Original but that doesn’t mean it didn’t garner an insanely impressive list of award nominations. Hulu’s 58 Emmy nominations in 2022 were in a large part thanks to Dopesick, which had a total of 14 nominations. Dopesick won Emmy’s for both Outstanding Cinematography and Outstanding Lead Actor, appropriately highlighting the show’s both beautiful shots and unbelievable acting.

The Dropout
Awards Won: 12
Hulu’s The Dropout details Amanda Seyfried playing Elizabeth Holmes, who attempted to change healthcare as we know it after dropping out of college and starting a tech company. Amanda Seyfried puts everything she has in this role, and it definitely paid off. The actress won both the Emmy and the Golden Globe for Outstanding and Best Performance by a lead actress for the show. However, Amanda Seyfriend isn’t the only great thing about the show as it also won a Critics Choice Award for Best Limited Series, making it an all around must see.

The Bear, while in-arguably one of the best shows on television right now, is not Hulu’s only noteworthy original, and hopefully this list has proven that.
