Golden Bachelorette alum Jonathan Rone has announced his split from girlfriend Michelle Zimmermann, sharing the news in an emotional Instagram video on Saturday, February 22.
“Hello everyone, Jonathan here. I have some news to share,” the 62-year-old reality star said. “I’ve been waiting for the right moment to do this, and I believe today is the day. I just want to share with everyone that I am no longer in a relationship. It was fun, it was fast, and it just didn’t last.”
Despite the breakup, Rone reflected on his time with Zimmermann with gratitude, saying he cherished the experiences they shared and the friends and family he met through her.
“Nothing is wasted in the universe of time,” he said. “Moving forward, I only hope and wish the best for both of us.”
Rone, who previously competed for Joan Vassos’ heart on The Golden Bachelorette in 2024, opened up about his struggles with love, questioning why his relationships often end unexpectedly. However, he reaffirmed his self-worth, saying, “I know that I am worthy, I know that I have enough. I have a big heart and I show up. I’m open. I’m loyal. I’m honest. I’m committed.”
He ended his message on hist Instagram with a hopeful note, saying, “If it’s meant to be, I’ll find the right person who will truly see me for who I am, value me, love me, and not let go.”

Alongside the video, Rone captioned his post, “With a heavy heart, I want to share that I’m no longer in a relationship 💔. Thank you all for your support as I continue my journey toward happiness. I know my person is out there, and I’ll find them when the time is right.”
Rone first introduced Zimmermann as his girlfriend during the “Men Tell All” episode in November 2024, revealing that he had found love again after his time on The Golden Bachelorette. Though the relationship has now ended, Rone remains optimistic about his search for lasting love.
