Prime Video unveils the first look at Étoile, a new dance-world comedy show from Gilmore Girls and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino.
Ballet and comedy collide in Étoile, the new series from Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino. Prime Video has just released the trailer and key art for the show, offering fans their first glimpse into this transatlantic tale of ambition, artistry, and high-stakes drama. All eight episodes of Étoile will premiere globally on April 24, exclusively on Prime Video.
Set against the backdrop of two prestigious ballet companies in New York and Paris, Étoile follows an ambitious plan to revitalize these storied institutions: an unprecedented exchange of their top-tier dancers. With tensions high and egos at stake, the series promises a mix of intense performances, personal rivalries, and the signature wit that made The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Gilmore Girls beloved fan favorites.
The ensemble cast of Étoile is stacked with talent, led by Emmy Award-winner Luke Kirby (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Charlotte Gainsbourg (The Pale Blue Eye, Antichrist, Nymphomaniac), and Lou de Laâge (The Innocents). Joining them are Gideon Glick (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Maestro), David Alvarez (West Side Story), Ivan du Pontavice (Rupture), Taïs Vinolo (The Show Must Go On), David Haig (Four Weddings and a Funeral), LaMay Zhang, and Simon Callow (Outlander). Fans of Gilmore Girls will also be excited to see Yanic Truesdale returning as a recurring guest.
Produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Étoile is helmed by industry veterans Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, who serve as executive producers alongside Dhana Rivera Gilbert. Scott Ellis has also been tapped as co-executive producer, promising a polished and compelling series that blends drama and humor seamlessly.
All eight episodes of Étoile will be available for streaming on April 24 in over 240 countries and territories. Fans eager to get an inside look can watch the trailer now and check out the newly released key art on Prime Video’s official press site.
