George Clooney and Julia Roberts are returning to the big screen, but they aren’t the only iconic pairing who are reuniting. Even Hocus Pocus 2 is coming back for a reunion after almost 30 years!
Now this is what we have been waiting for— a George Clooney and Julia Roberts on-screen reunion. Even Ben Affleck is working on a new film with Matt Damon. This is definitely turning into the year for epic reunions. Here is a glance at all the on-screen reunions to expect in 2022.
George Clooney & Julia Roberts
It’s no lie that George Clooney and Julia Roberts have had a long history together– professional and personal. From co-workers to best friends, the two iconic actors first appeared as co-stars in 2001’s Ocean’s Eleven.
Roberts and Clooney played an alienated couple, Danny and Tess Ocean, and repeated their jobs in the 2004’s Ocean’s Twelve. Beside the Ocean’s establishment, Clooney and Roberts also showed up in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002 and, as of recently, Money Monster in 2016.
Fans of both actors are wildly excited for their newest upcoming movie together called Ticket to Paradise that will be released October 21, 2022.
Roberts and Clooney will depict a divorced couple that travels to Bali with an end goal to stop their daughter’s wedding. The trailer for the upcoming movie was released by Universal Pictures back in June 2022.
Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker & Kath Najimy
For this upcoming fall season, fans are finally getting what they always hoped for— a sequel to the 1993 film, Hocus Pocus!
It has been 29 years since the cast have shared a screen together, but they each will be reprising their roles as the Sanderson sisters in the sequel!
“I am so grateful to be able to play a part in bringing these witches back to life,” Fletcher said in a statement on Fox News.“This is a movie for everyone, from the fans who grew up with the first film to the next generation of viewers, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Tune in on Disney + on September 30th, 2022 to watch Hocus Pocus 2!
Cameron Diaz & Jamie Foxx
Fans can’t believe it! Cameron Diaz is finally returning back to the big screen as she announced that she will be starring alongside her long-time friend, Jamie Foxx.
Diaz “retired” from acting back in 2018, and has not appeared on screen since 2014, but now is finally coming back to co-star with Jamie Foxx in Netflix’s upcoming movie, Back in Action.
Diaz and Foxx have a long history together in Hollywood. The last time they were on screen together was in Annie in 2014. The team likewise featured in Any Given Sunday in 1999.
Foxx even persuaded Tom Brady to shock Diaz with a phone call. He captioned a tweet saying, “Cameron I hope you aren’t mad I recorded this, but no turning back now. Had to call in the GOAT to bring back another GOAT,” Foxx stated. “Cameron Diaz and I are BACK IN ACTION – our new movie with Netflix. Production starting later this year!!”

Who doesn’t love this famous film duo? Matt Damon and Ben Affleck first worked together back in 1997 for the film, Good Will Hunting, which ended up winning an Oscar. They both also co-starred in The Last Duel in 2021.
For their newest film, Affleck will be directing and both he and Damon will be writing and producing an untitled film about Nike’s executive Sonny Vaccaro’s life story, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Damon will star as Vaccaro, while Affleck will take on the role of Phil Knight, co-founder of Nike. The film will follow Vaccaro’s life story as Nike tries to get Michael Jordan to sign a shoe contract in the mid-’80s.
