Congratulations Gal Gadot! The Wonder Woman 1984 star is expecting her third child with husband Jaron Varsano
Gal Gadot is expanding her little family! The Wonder Woman star, 35, went to Instagram to make the announcement. Sharing a photo of herself, her husband, and two children Alma, 9, and Maya, 3 cuddled together on the couch she cheekily captioned the photo “Here we go again.” This special news comes only a day after Gadot presented at the Golden Globes.
Gadot has been famously open about her experiences with motherhood while working as an actress. She filmed the first Wonder Woman reshoots while five months pregnant with her daughter Maya. A green cloth was placed over her stomach to edit out her pregnancy during post-production. Gal even compared the joys of giving birth to her children to feeling like a superhero.
“It’s cheesy, but I feel like Wonder Woman when I give birth. When you deliver, you feel like you’re a god. Like, ‘Oh my God, I made this!’ The best thing is to become a mother and to give life,” she told news.com.au in May 2017.
Gal Gadot has always made sure to keep her family close to her career. Her husband and two children had cameo appearances in last December’s Wonder Woman 1984. In a Christmas scene near the end of the film, eagle-eyed fans can spy on the Gadot family. In an interview with Kevin McCarthy Gal said the inclusion of her family meant a lot to her. She called the Wonder Woman series more than just a collection of films and reflected on how much they had changed her life. Thanking her family, she goes on to say that she wouldn’t have gotten through the experience without them. She said of the shoot, “to have them captured in the film with me meant a lot. An amazing, amazing souvenir that we will cherish forever.” Director Patty Jenkins’ son, Asa, also appeared in the scene alongside the Gadot family.
Gal Gadot has a busy slate ahead of her as she expects her next child. She will reprise her role as Wonder Woman in the highly anticipated Zack Snyder’s Justice League on March 18th as well as taking on a starring role in Kenneth Branagh’s Agatha Christie adaptation Death on the Nile. Her upcoming projects include a series on the life of iconic actress Hedy Lemarr and a Cleopatra biopic. We wish Gal the best of luck during her pregnancy!
