AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Mini Spotlight edition, is a short form interview series featuring actors & artists discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Amy Cassandra interviews Forest Blakk.

Forest Blakk is an “urban folk” artist from Montreal, QC, Calgary, AB who now lives in Germany.

He received his first guitar at 15 when he found himself living on the street while his father was in prison (for being in the Irish mafia). While some people let their pasts define them, Forest is determined not only to move forward himself, but also help others do the same. Demonstrating resilience from a young age, he is armed with stories about discovering his music and hustling on the streets just to survive. Songwriting is not something Forest does just because it’s something he’s good at; it is something he simply does as service and as duty. This means he will not be quiet about the struggles he has overcome.
