This past week, Rihanna’s virtual fashion show took the internet by storm.
Savage X Fenty Vol. 2 was released on Amazon Prime, a virtual showing of Rihanna’s very own lingerie line. There were a lot of fan opinions, so let’s get straight into them!
This fan shared this appreciation post for the creator herself, Rihanna!

Although the fashion show saw fan praise in many aspects, fans also voiced their concerns.
At one point in the show “Doom,” a song by CouCou Chloe, played. This song contains sampled words from an Islamic hadith, a very sacred text. The sampling of this sacred text was met with valid disapproval from the Muslim community.
The song’s creator, CouCou Chloe, put out this two part apology on Twitter.
I want to deeply apologize for the offence caused by the vocal samples used in my song ‘DOOM’. The song was created using samples from Baile Funk tracks I found online. At the time, I was not aware that these samples used text from an Islamic Hadith. 1/2

I take full responsibility for the fact I did not research these words properly and want to thank those of you who have taken the time to explain this to me. We have been in the process of having the song urgently removed from all streaming platforms. 2/2

This apology stated that the song would be removed from streaming platforms and that she was not aware of the meaning behind the words.
Up until today, Rihanna had not commented on the situation. However, she has now released this apology to the Savage X Fenty Instagram page.
What did you think about the virtual fashion show? This was Rihanna’s second Savage X Fenty fashion show and we’re interested in seeing where she goes from here!
