Reactions to Ariana Grande’s Yours Truly 10th Anniversary

Ariana Grande fans are nostalgic and in tears after the artist commemorates 10 years since the debut of her first album Yours Truly. Take a look at some of their reactions celebrating the artist’s journey!

Ariana Grande’s career as a pop vocalist took off August 31, 10 years ago. Her first album, Yours Truly, featured artists like Mac Miller and classic songs like “The Way” and “Baby I.” The singer commemorates this occasion with those who have been a vital part of her career – her fans.

The Grammy award winner planed a week-long celebration to honor her fan base for their loyalty and support. She released a deluxe version of the album on Friday August 25th and filmed live performances of six of the album’s tracks that will also be included in the deluxe version. These performances were filmed at a farmhouse in London, where the singer hosted a Q&A on TikTok. She connected with her fans, revealing her favorite memories and sharing behind-the-scenes of the making of this album.

She first addressed her fans, saying, “Thank you for supporting me every step along the way, accepting me, loving me, allowing for humanness and everything. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

Fans reciprocated the love with heartwarming tweets and posts, revering the artist’s accomplishments and sharing many touching moments from the performances. They reminded Ariana of their support, and she reminded them why they are her fans.

2013 Childhood Nostalgia

While the anniversary serves as a celebration, it also leaves Arianators nostalgic. The Yours Truly album debuted at Number 1 on Billboard 200 while Ariana played Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon series Victorious. The songs transported fans back to their childhood in 2013.

People even took to sharing their personal 10-year transformation since the album’s debut.

Mac Miller Tribute: “The Way”

Another major reason fans were brought to tears was the tribute to the late rapper and ex-boyfriend Mac Miller as she performed the hit “The Way.” Grande’s TikTok Q&A mentions that the song’s music video was the most fun to create, even revealing that they shot it without the label’s knowledge.

During Mac Miller’s verse in “The Way,” the melody slows down and the beat changes to a soft violin.

At the end of the song, the screen fades to black with only the words “Feat. Mac Miller.”

Fans haven’t had a new album release since Positions in October, 2020 amidst the height of the Covid pandemic. Grande put her recording career on pause to play her lifelong dream role as “Glinda the Good Witch” in the cinematic adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked. This deluxe album is the newest release for her fans. Arianators now wait for Grande’s debut on the big screen on November 27, 2024.
