After being evicted from the Big Brother house, Nicole is revealing why she no longer thinks Taylor is a bad person, what went wrong in her game, and more in her exclusive interview with AfterBuzz TV!
In another power move by The Leftover’s alliance, Nicole Layog was evicted in Thursday’s episode of Big Brother!
Nicole is revealing what went wrong in her game, why she feels she misjudged Taylor, and more in her exclusive interview with AfterBuzz below:
AFTERBUZZ: Going into the game, you decided to hide the fact that you had previously been a police officer and a detective for 10 years. Do you think that helped you in your game at all?
NICOLE: No, I’m the absolute worst. I’m embarrassed for sure. The people I thought were lying to me were actually telling me the truth, and that goes to show just because I was a police officer, it’s a different lifestyle in the Big Brother house. It really has nothing to do with law enforcement and how I was handling that career versus handling the Big Brother house.
AFTERBUZZ: How did your strategy change going into the house once you actually got in the house?
NICOLE: My strategy going into the house was to not let anybody run my game and I feel like that took a complete opposite turn. I do feel as though I walked in saying that I was going to have a strong social game and I think I did that to the best of my ability. I feel like being a chef and being able to cook and entertain really helped me in that aspect.
AFTERBUZZ: What was your initial reaction when Daniel first told you that you were likely going to be voted out this week?
NICOLE: I already knew with the conversations that I had been having. When he was waiting for me and he told me, I kind of already knew that that’s why he was waiting for me in the back bedroom, and when he told me I was like, I know. And then we had our own little pity party and then continued into Terrence’s room and continued that. Actually, it ended up lighting a fire underneath me, and I continued to fight from the night before the eviction up until about five minutes before eviction.
AFTERBUZZ: Going back to the beginning of the game, you were initially pretty friendly with Taylor in the house. What changed?
NICOLE: I let other people’s opinions cloud my judgment.
AFTERBUZZ: You said in a conversation with Daniel that you both don’t think that Taylor’s a good person. Do you still agree with that?
NICOLE: No, I do not agree with that at all. I feel like she got the short end of the stick and I can’t wait for her to come out of the Big Brother house, and she and I can address all the things that were said and really dive into something to build something better than what we had.
AFTERBUZZ: At what point did that change for you, when you realized that she was getting the short end of the stick in the house?
NICOLE: I would definitely say after I realized that I thought with my strategy in terms of Taylor that I couldn’t manipulate her, I couldn’t control her game. And I own that. And going forward I realize that if I would’ve gone at it from a different angle, things might have happened differently.
AFTERBUZZ: What was the reason that you decided to choose her as your Festie Bestie?
NICOLE: It was purely strategic. I knew that she was a target in the house and I figured why not shield myself by having her on my team, and lucky for her or not lucky for her, I’m actually really happy for her that she found the people she found in the house who finally had her back because obviously, I was around the people who did not have her back.
AFTERBUZZ: Shifting to one of your closer relationships, what is it about Daniel that made him your number one ally so quickly in the house?
NICOLE: Honestly day one walking out into the backyard, I don’t know if it was his hair, his style, something along those lines, but our first conversation I felt super confident and felt a good vibe and energy from him. And I just went with it. He was the first person to ask me to work with him and I think I got Big Brother excited and let it roll and let it ride. And I think that for those first couple weeks we were on a roll and we were doing what we wanted to do in this game, and it was moving forward, not being eliminated week one, week two, week three. But after Ameerah went home, I knew that things were just kind of going in a different direction.
AFTERBUZZ: What do you see as Daniel’s best path forward in the game right now?
NICOLE: He needs to control his emotions a little bit and not go off on anybody. I think that he can build better relationships in the house now that I’m gone, but I hope that he’s able to do that based on some of the things that he’s chosen to do and say to certain people in the house. I hope that it didn’t hurt his game completely.
AFTERBUZZ: If you were to re-enter the game, what would your strategy be going forward?
NICOLE: I would not let anybody run my game and I wouldn’t play somebody else’s game.
