Love is Blind (Season 7)
Who’s ready to say “I do” to a new season of drama? Love is Blind season 7 features a fresh group of singles from the Washington, DC area that are hoping to find the one, sight unseen. Vanessa Lachey and Nick Lachey will be returning as co-hosts to guide contestants on their journey to find love without ever seeing their partner before the proposal. You can watch the first 6 episodes of the new season of Love is Blind on Netflix starting October 2! After, Netflix will be releasing 1-3 episodes weekly until October 23rd!
Heartstopper (Season 3)
Get ready for another season of heartwarming young love! The hit Netflix Original show based on the Alice Osman graphic novel of the same name is returning with a new season. Heartstopper Season 2 left off with Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke) solidifying their feelings for each other with a deep conversation, but there are still some things that have been left unsaid. As their relationship continues to blossom, viewers can expect to explore new challenges as they navigate their teenage years together. Jonathan Bailey, who you may recognize from Bridgerton or Fellow Travelers, will also guest star as Jack Maddox, Charlie’s celebrity crush, in Season 3. Outer Banks (Season 4- Part 1)
The treasure hunt is far from over! The Pogues and Kooks will be returning for a new season filled with action and adventure! Even though the crew is finally back safe in the Outer Banks after finding the gold at El Dorado last season, it doesn’t seem like they will be staying out of the “G” game for long! John B (Chase Stokes), Sarah (Madelyn Cline), JJ (Rudy Pankow), Kiara (Madison Bailey), and Pope (Jonathan Daviss) will be returning in this season of Outer Banks in search of Blackbeard’s treasure. The first 5 episodes of the new season will be released on Netflix on October 10th, and the final 5 episodes will drop on November 7th.
The Menendez Brothers
Ryan Murphy’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, a true-crime drama series, started streaming on Netflix earlier this September, and now the Menendez brothers themselves will tell their story. In 1996, Erik Menendez and Lyle Menendez were convicted of killing their parents in a televised trial that shocked the nation. Now, nearly 30 years later, the Menendez brothers will speak about the trial for the first time. Erik and Lyle’s cousin Diane Vander Molen and prosecutor Pamela Bozanich are also interviewed in The Menendez Brothers. If you’ve watched Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, you’ll want to tune in on October 7th when The Menendez Brothers hits Netflix.
Horror Movies for Halloween
Even though Halloween isn’t until the end of the month, Netflix has got you covered with their scary Netflix and Chills 2024 lineup all month long! Alfred Hitchcock classics The Birds and Psycho along with newer horror films like It Follows and Unfriended will stream on Netflix on October 1st. Also, recent slasher horror movie sequels like Scream (2022), with Jenna Ortega and Courtney Cox, and Halloween (2018), starring Jamie Lee Curtis, will also be arriving on the platform in October as well. Halloween (2018) will be available to stream on Netflix starting October 1st, and Scream (2022) will hit the platform on October 11th.
In addition, Spider-Man director Sam Raimi produced Don’t Move (2024) a Netflix Original film starring Kelsey Asbille as a woman trying to escape from a serial killer (Finn Wittrock) in a remote forest. You can watch Don’t Move on Netflix when it premieres October 25th. From horror classics to new films, strap in for some screaming good watches this October!
Lonely Planet
Ready for some romance? Liam Hemsworth and Big Little Lies actress Laura Dern co-star as the romantic leads in Lonely Planet. Laura Dern stars as Katherine, a reclusive author who goes to Morocco for a writer’s retreat in hopes of curing her writer’s block, only to find unexpected romance. Liam Hemsworth, who you’ll recognize from The Hunger Games movies, plays Owen, the boyfriend of another writer on the retreat that gets involved in an intoxicating affair with Katherine. Lonely Planet is written and directed by Susannah Grant, the Oscar-nominated screenwriter of Erin Brockovich. You can stream Lonely Planet on Netflix October 11th!
The Lincoln Lawyer (Season 3)
After the heartbreaking ending to Season 2, fans of The Lincoln Lawyer are eager for the gripping legal drama to return! Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer, will pick up where season 2 left off, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo returns as Mickey Haller to find the killer of his friend Glory Days (Fiona Rene). New cast members this season include Merrin Dungey, starring as young, progressive Judge Regina Turner, and John Pirruccello from Barry who will play a prosecutor Mickey Haller’s going up against. All 10 new episodes of The Lincoln Lawyer will be streaming on Netflix on October 17th!
Woman of the Hour
Anna Kendrick makes her directorial debut in the new Netflix thriller Woman of the Hour! Based on the true story of Rodney Alcala, a serial killer who appeared on and won a date in a 1978 episode of The Dating Game, Woman of the Hour follows Sheryl Bradshaw (Anna Kendrick) as she goes on a first date that feels more and more unsafe. This thriller is already getting rave reviews with a 90% score on the Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Woman of the Hour hits Netflix on October 18th, just in time for the Halloween scary movie season!
Stand-Up Comedy Specials
Even though it is spooky season, there’s still some time for laughs! Netflix has you covered with several stand-up specials premiering in October. Ali Wong, the hilarious comic whose voice you may recognize from Big Mouth, has a new special titled Ali Wong: Single Lady. In this special Ali Wong talks about life as a divorced mom and quest for love post-divorce. Ali Wong: Single Lady will premiere on Netflix on October 8th!

Hasan Minhaj will be returning to Netflix for his third comedy special for the streamer titled Hasan Minhaj: Off With His Head. In this special Hasan Minhaj is set to tackle politics and the challenges of caring for your aging parents and kids. Hasan Minhaj is known for his witty political commentary from being the host of Netflix’s The Patriot Act and his work on The Daily Show, but he also has had acting roles in movies like It Ends With Us and No Hard Feelings. Hasan Minhaj: Off With His Head starts streaming on Netflix October 22nd!
