We all love our monster-verse movies, watching Godzilla and Kong going at it never gets old. The long-running franchise has given us various world-ending scenarios and saw the Titans saving us. To satiate fans’ love for these Titans, a new feature Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire will be hitting the screen next year!
The movie serves as a direct sequel to 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong as director Adam Wingard returns once more to helm. While most of the time the monsters are pitted against each other the upcoming installment forces them to join hands. Here’s everything you need to know.
Plot
In the upcoming installment Kong and Godzilla will go up against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden below our world. The feature aims to delve deeper into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island itself. As fans gear up for another epic showdown, they will witness the mythic battle that helped create these Titans and uncover what ties them to humankind.

Trailer
The recently released trailer takes fans back to Skull Island as we see Kong with a new metal arm as well as Godzilla with a pink glowing nuclear power upgrade. The trailer also gives us a good look at the new ape on a throne, who is scaring other apes in the Hollow Earth and eventually rises to the surface. It also interestingly gives us a look at the mini Kong, (better known as the son of Kong) how he factors into the story remains to be seen.

Along with the monsters, the movie cast Rebecca Hall as Dr. Ilene Andrews, Brian Tyree Henry as Bernie Hayes, Dan Stevens as Trapper, Kaylee Hottle as Jia, along with Alex Ferns, Fala Chen, Rachel House, and more.

Release Date
