In Murder Mystery 2, we find Nick Spitz (Adam Sandler) and Audrey Spitz (Jennifer Aniston) as detectives trying to get their agency off the ground. They find themselves in the midst of another scandal; their friend, the Maharaja (a great ruler), is kidnapped, and they must find him and bring him home.

Along with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler, other cast members who are returning will include Adeel Akhtar (Maharaja), Danny Boon (Inspector Laurent), and John Kani (Col. Ulenga). There are also a number of new additions to the set, including: Melanie Laurent (Claudette), Jodie Turner-Smith (Countess Seku), Kuhoo Verma (Saira), Enrique Arce (Francisco), Zurin Villanueva (Imani), and Mark Strong (Conner Miller).

The Director for the first film was Kyle Newacheck; this will be the only major change to production, as Jeremy Garelick comes in to replace him for the second film. James Vanderbilt returned as the writer for the movie.

The first movie was filmed in LA, Montreal, Milan, Lake Como, and Santa Margherita Ligure. The second film will still be set in Europe, with some filming done in Paris. The set will also travel to Hawaii.
