Where We Left Off
The fifth season ended with Tony Blair becoming Prime Minister and Prince Charles heading to Hong Kong. When he comes back to the UK, he has a heated exchange with his mom, Queen Elizabeth about the monarchy, since they both have differing views on it. We see Princess Diana take her children on a holiday trip to St. Tropaz, organized by Al-Fayed, this is where she grows closer to Dodi Fayed. At the very end, the Royal Yacht Britannia is decommissioned and the final shot is the Queen walking through the hallways as she gets ready to say goodbye to it. This shows how the Queen is preparing to grapple with the changes in the monarchy.
