Everything You Need To Know About Margaret Qualley

Have you been as obsessed with Netflix’s Maid as we have? Here is everything you need to know about its star, Margaret Qualley!

Margaret Qualley recently starred on the hit Netflix show Maid based on Stephanie Land’s life. As Qualley gets more and more roles fans are dying to know more about her. Here are a few interesting things to know about Margaret Qualley!

Margaret’s parents, Andie MacDowell and Paul Qualley got divorced when she was young. On The Late Late Show with James Corden, she said that this is when she became obsessed with the movie The Parent Trap. She tried dropping subtle hints to her mother about the movie and specifically the happy ending in hopes that they would get back together. Her mother, MacDowell, mistook her hints and started dating the dad from the movie, Dennis Quaid. You could say that MacDowell did not understand the assignment.

As a young girl, Margaret Qualley wanted to be a professional ballerina. She worked really hard and even started to study at the American Ballet Theater. She realized that dance was not her passion, but still put her abilities to good use. Qualley has participated in The Dance For Healing Project which provides therapeutic dance mentorships to youths going through crisis.

Qualley was living on cloud 9 when she got a part in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood after she originally thought she didn’t. She was super dedicated to her role growing her armpit hair out to truly embody her character, Pussycat. One thing that she didn’t quite like was when Quentin Tarantino wanted to show her bare feet in the car with Brad Pitt. In the end, she had a great time, toes out and all, playing this role.

In pursuit of her career, she moved to New York as a teenager. She has an apartment, but on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she told him that she has recently purchased furniture for the first time. Surprisingly this ran in the family. Her father, who Margaret Qualley loves dearly, lives in Panama on the construction site of the houses he is working on so he also has no furniture. Like father like daughter!

During the new Netflix show, Maid, Margaret Qualley played a single mother navigating the system to get out of a relationship with domestic abuse. This show and her performance were absolutely spectacular, but what made it even better was that her mother in Maid was also her mother in reality. Qualley actually was the one to propose casting Andie MacDowell. MacDowell said, “We’re just so comfortable with each other.” when talking about filming with her daughter.

As usual, Margaret Qualley’s performance was phenomenal and we can’t wait to see what she does next! Stay tuned here with AfterBuzz TV!
