Sugar – April 5th
Being released on April 5th, this new show depicts a private investigator as he struggles with personal demons trying to solve the disappearance of a Hollywood’s producer’s granddaughter. Starring Colin Farrell from The Banshees of Inisherin, Amy Ryan from Birdman, Kirby from Barry, and more this show is certain to have audiences on the edge of their seat. Equipped with emotional storytelling, high stakes, and action packed scenes, this show is ready to take audiences along for the ride. With an excellent soundtrack and beautiful set design, this show is sure to look beautiful as well as be incredibly entertaining with its intricate storyline.

Girls State – April 5th
Have you ever wondered what the government would look like if it was entirely run by women? This show just might have your answer! Focusing on women empowerment, this documentary explores women’s place in politics as it follows a group of girls trying to build a government in Missouri from the ground up. Girls State, an inspiring film, is set to be released on April 5th and is already creating buzz on social media! If audiences are looking for a film that will get them motivated, then this is the film they are looking for!
I saw a screening of the documentary Girls State last night, and very highly recommend it. If you have teenage girls at home, carve out time to watch it with them – I believe it comes to Apple TV+ on April 5.

Franklin – April 12th
History buffs are going to have a blast with this one! Franklin is a miniseries based around the founding father Benjamin Franklin. It sets out to explore his secret mission to France in December of 1776. This event took place in real life and made Benjamin Franklin the first American diplomat. This miniseries has high stakes as it takes place during the middle of America’s fight against the British. Tasked with filling the shoes of this founding father is Michael Douglas, who is sure to have an excellent performance. Starring alongside him will be Noah Jupe from A Quiet Place, Daniel Mays from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Ludivine Sagnier from Napoleon. With such an incredible cast, a dedication to historical storytelling, and an incredibly tense story, this miniseries is sure to have audiences binging the entire show in one night! Franklin will be released on April 12th.

Dark Matter – May 8th
Dark Matter is a science fiction show set to premiere on May 8th. Based off of Blake Crouch’s 2016 Dark Matter, this show is certain to have you double guessing everything you think you know. This show follows the tale of a man named Jason Dessen as he is abducted into an alternate reality who fights to return to his true family. As he races against time he finds that his biggest enemy might just be himself. Sci-fi and supernatural lovers alike are going to have an amazing time watching this show. The leading man Joel Edgerton, best known for his work on The Gift, is sure to give another amazing performance. Performing alongside him is Jennifer Connelly from Top Gun Maverick, Alice Braga from I Am Legend, and Jimmi Simpson from Westworld, as well as many others. Between the extremely talented cast and the incredible original source material, fans of the book and newcomers are sure to love this upcoming show.
