Sydney Sweeney took to social media to announce the release of her new project, promote a photoshoot with Numéro Netherlands, and even revealed one of her favorite childhood Halloween movies!
The 23-year-old Euphoria actress posted various behind-the-scenes photos from her newly-released film Nocturne. Sweeney stars as a gifted pianist in the supernatural horror directed by Zu Quirke, which is available to stream on Amazon Prime. Nocturne is the newest addition in the collaborative movie series from Amazon Studios and Blumhouse Television, Welcome to the Blumhouse. From the producers of films like Get Out and Sharp Objects, the new scary movie comes out just in time for Halloween.
Aside from sharing her insider perspective on Nocturne, Sweeney also shared black and white stills from her newest photoshoot with Numéro Netherlands. Sweeney posed as the magazine’s first cover star for its third issue. The actress previously modeled for the international magazine at the end of September, where she hinted she’d return for another photoshoot in the caption, “to be continued…”
Transition to her Twitter and you’ll notice Sweeney retweeted The Cut for a recent article about her skincare routine. Considering all the fun makeup and glitter she wears as Cassie Howard, the actress likely locked down a pretty consistent skin regime.
“I wish I could just give my current routine to my younger self and save a lot of tears,” Sweeney told the women-based media outlet.
She also retweeted Hunger Magazine for another interview about her newest project. This time, Sweeney spoke about her latest film Nocturne, and how she got into character for the chilling role.
Most recently, the actress and producer quote retweeted the account, @31Nights from Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween. Sweeney told followers she was tuning into the channel’s broadcast of Halloweentown Saturday night because it’s “literally one of my childhood faves.” She even jokingly extended the invitation to her couch for a watch party.
Jacob Elordi is another star from the HBO series who’s appearing in other projects this week. The 23-year-old Australian actor leads in the young adult-faith based movie, 2 Hearts. Based on a true story, Elordi and Tiera Skovbye star as love interests. The film came out this past weekend with a theatrical release, and will not be released digitally or available to stream on any platform.
Elordi also shared a selfie on his Instagram story promoting a friend’s new horror film. The actor told followers he “played a small part in it close to three years ago.” The friend, Ryan Spindell, wrote and directed The Mortuary Collection, which is now streaming on Shudder.
Storm Reid wished her momma, Robyn Simpson, a very special happy birthday on Oct. 12. The Euphoria actress thanked her mom for “the unconditional love and sacrifices,” in a series of sweet photos on Instagram. The comment section was swarmed with affectionate birthday wishes from verified creatives, including the talented singing duo and sisters, Chloe x Halle.
Reid also shared two videos of herself wearing a Miu Miu dress while on set for an InStyle Magazine photoshoot. The actress first debuted as a Miu Miu Girl in March for the Fall/Winter 2020 runway show at Paris Fashion Week.
The young activist also continued her advocacy with another selfie on the photo-sharing app. The actress specifically encouraged women to vote “because when we all vote, we impact and shape our futures.” The 17-year-old model will not be eligible to vote in the upcoming presidential election, but she’s assured fans she would if she could!
Fellow Euphoria regular Barbie Ferreira is red hot! The 23-year-old model amazed followers in a series of photos capturing Ferreira in a Givenchy red dress. The actress posed with minimal makeup from Becca Cosmetics, giving off a natural composition and an overall effortless look.
As elusive as she is on social media, Alexa Demie can still capture people’s attention online. The MAC Cosmetics Ambassador modeled for Petra Collins again in what seems like another fantasy series. The actress posed for the photographer a month ago in a long, blonde wig while wearing pointed ear prosthetics. This newer photoshoot shows the Euphoria star in a similar sci-fi aesthetic, but this time several prosthetic scales on her back mean she’s styled like a different magical creature.
