Disney Animated Movies Group Costume Ideas

Halloween is right around the corner, and if you are a huge Disney fan, it’s the perfect time to dress up as your favorite characters! Here are some group costume ideas from Disney animated movies that you may not have thought of yet.

Moana

The highly anticipated sequel to Disney’s animated musical Moana is coming to theaters this Thanksgiving. Even though the film hasn’t premiered yet, you can still get ahead of the game by putting on Moana’s latest chieftess look from Moana 2.

In addition to Moana’s stunning chieftess look, consider adding Te Fiti, the goddess of creation, and Te Kā to your group costume lineup! Te Fiti’s look features a breathtaking blend of vibrant greens and floral accents. While it’s a striking costume that can be purchased, you can also easily DIY it at home following this tutorial

Te Kā‘s costume can be pretty challenging to recreate, but it’s definitely a showstopper! You can purchase a Te Kā dress to get the basics down, but if you want to take it a step further, you can follow a complete cosplay tutorial to really nail the look.

If you have a pet at home, why not dress them up as Hei Hei from Moana, letting them enjoy the party as well? Etsy has some really delicate Hei Hei costumes for your furry friends. On the other hand, you can also create a DIY version with colorful feathers and a dog jacket.

Inside Out 2

As the only Disney animated movie that has hit the theater so far this year, Inside Out 2 has been long-awaited by fans. This Halloween is the perfect time to dress up as characters from the sequel. And with the introduction of hilarious new emotions Ennui, Embarrassment, Anxiety, and Envy—who doesn’t relate to them?—now’s your chance to bring these awesome characters to life!

Envy

Envy is characterized by her big, twinkling eyes for all the big pretty things. Admittedly, it is difficult to replicate that exact look in a costume, but you can always express that characteristic in other creative ways — a glittering set of sequin outfits could be a perfect substitute. Pinterest also has some great inspo for daily looking Envy costumes. And you could get Envy’s wig at Walmart

Anxiety

If you’re feeling a bit stressed lately, maybe dressing up as Anxiety could help you wind down and enjoy the moment! There is an available costume set online with Anxiety’s hair headband included, but you could also pull it off from items you own to recreate the look

Embarrassment

I can already picture a video of someone dressing up as Embarrassment and trying to hide from the crowd going viral on TikTok. If you are a shy partygoer, Embarrassment could be a good choice. A purple hoodie is an essential part of Embarrassment’s costume, and you could pair it with any purple or light pink trousers you have in your wardrobe. For a more complete look, you could also add a hot pink beanie to represent Embarrassment’s hair.

Ennui

Dressing up as Ennui is all about the attitude, and your phone will be a significant part of it! Pair it with a matching set of dark blue loungewear and a purple wig to complete the look.

Toy Story

Gabby Gabby and The Bensons

Gabby Gabby and The Bensons from Toy Story 4 are the perfect creepy-yet-cute group costumes for Halloween. If you’ve got two people, Gabby Gabby and one of the Bensons make a perfect duo with their eerie yet charming vibe. You can easily get Gabby Gabby’s exact costume from Amazon. Or, since Gabby Gabby’s costume is pretty daily and simple, you can also pull off the costume with a yellow doll dress from your wardrobe and pair it with two matching yellow bows

The Bensons’ costumes are also easy to replicate. You can go for a matching set of black suits with black and red bow ties, or mix it up with black dresses paired with white shirts underneath and the same bow tie combo. What really adds to the spookiness of Benson’s costume is their makeup. You can use a red lipstick and draw the lines to mimic the puppet’s mouse.

Slinky Dog

Slinky Dog could also be a funny costume that makes you stand out from the crowd! You can get the costume online or create the costume yourself. Here are the tutorials for Slinky Dog adults’ costume and kids’ costume

Bo Peep and Giggle McDimples
