The Emmy-nominated comedian returns to stand-up with Dandelion, his sharpest special yet—featuring sardonic takes on flying, charity auctions, and the evolution of porn.
Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated comedian David Spade is back with a brand-new stand-up comedy special, and this time, he’s bringing his signature dry wit to Prime Video. Titled Dandelion, the highly anticipated special marks David Spade’s first since 2022 and will premiere globally on May 6 in over 240 countries and territories.
Directed and produced by David Spade himself, Dandelion delivers exactly what fans have come to expect from the Saturday Night Live alum: razor-sharp punchlines, unapologetic commentary, and biting observations on everything from awkward flights to bizarre charity auctions to the unexpected evolution of adult content. With his classic sardonic tone, David Spade proves he’s still one of comedy’s most fearless voices.
David Spade has long been a mainstay in American comedy. He became a breakout star during his time on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, and later earned Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his role as Dennis Finch on the hit sitcom Just Shoot Me!. His film credits include fan-favorite comedies like Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, Joe Dirt, and Disney’s animated cult classic The Emperor’s New Groove.
In 2022, he released his stand-up special Nothing Personal on Netflix, and has since remained a fixture on the comedy circuit with his I Got A Feel For It tour, selling out venues nationwide.
Off-stage, David Spade co-hosts the wildly popular podcast “Fly on the Wall” alongside fellow SNL alum Dana Carvey. The show—recently crowned “Best Comedy Podcast” at the 2024 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards—features behind-the-scenes stories from SNL legends, hosts, and musical guests. Guests have included icons like Sir Paul McCartney, Lorne Michaels, Tom Hanks, Tina Fey, and Maya Rudolph. The duo also launched a spin-off pop culture podcast, Superfly.
Most recently, David Spade wrapped filming on BUSBOYS, a project he both stars in and co-wrote with comedian Theo Von.
Dandelion is produced by David Spade, Marc Gurvitz, Alex Murray, and John Irwin, and directed by Spade himself.
