‘Dancing with the Stars’ Janet Jackson Night Superlatives!

Dancing with the Stars brought us Janet Jackson Night this week! Here are our superlatives for this week’s dances, costumes, and more!

**Elimination Spoilers**

Dancing with the Stars is back with another artist-themed night, which seems to be their favorite type of theme this season. “Janet Jackson Night” was a success, featuring another surprising elimination, along with some show-stopping performances.

This week’s elimination was somewhat confusing for fans, as the double-elimination sent home both singer Jimmie Allen and social media star Olivia Jade. Many were expecting to say goodbye to Cody Rigsby or Suni Lee this week, so this one was definitely a shock. Judges chose to save Melora Hardin over Jimmie Allen, which was somewhat expected, while Olivia Jade was the first to go home. Jade got cut thanks to an assumed low number of votes, as she has been scoring highly the entire season. The episode also featured dance-offs between Jimmie Allen and Suni Lee, Melora Hardin and Iman Shumpert, Olivia Jade and JoJo Siwa, and Amanda Kloots, and Cody Rigsby.

The dances this week were truly a step up from previous weeks, with favorites like Melora Hardin, Amanda Kloots, and Suni Lee all receiving perfect scores. Here are our superlatives for “Janet Jackson Night” on Dancing with the Stars!

Best Choreography: Suni Lee & Sasha Farber

Okay, Suni! This was by far one of Suni’s best performances. The Samba routine to “All For You” gave us that personality we are always looking for in her dances, along with a few gymnastics moves to round it out. This performance felt a lot more comfortable for Suni, we could definitely see the confidence come out in this one. This pairing is definitely one of our favorites, Sasha and Suni make such a good combination when it comes to dancing. Looks like these two are headed to the semi-finals!

Most Fun to Watch: JoJo Siwa & Jenna Johnson

As always, JoJo nailed her performance and made it one of the best of the night. This week JoJo and Jenna performed a Salsa to Janet Jackson’s “Feedback”. The choreography went so smoothly with the song, and was performed flawlessly by the couple that we have no complaints! It has been very enjoyable to see JoJo take on all different styles of dance, and this is one of our favorites of hers. Overall this was a really strong performance, and the costumes were pretty great too!

Most Impressive: Amanda Kloots & Alan Bersten

What can we say, Amanda has done it again! This talented woman gave us one of the best dances of the night, per usual, with her Jazz routine to “Miss You Much”. Not much to say here besides the fact that Amanda is one of the most talented people to ever come on this show, dance background or not. She truly takes on the ballroom with confidence and stage presence like no other. Can’t wait to see her and Alan take their skills to the semi-finals next week!

Best Costumes: Jimmie Allen & Emma Slater

Shining bright in gold are Jimmie Allen and Emma Slater! These two looked great and performed an amazing Cha Cha to “Escapade” during “Janet Jackson Night”! Despite his unfortunate departure at the end of the night, Jimmie had a great performance, which was one of his most entertaining dances this season! The two looked good both on the floor and in gold. Sad to see them go, but hopefully the country star will make an appearance at the soon-to-come finale!

Best Dance of the Night: Iman Shumpert & Daniella Karagach

Here he is, the Iman we know and love! There’s no doubt that fast-paced dances are Iman’s strong suit, and we are thankful to have seen him knock out an amazing Cha Cha to none other than “Rhythm Nation”. Now, this is by far our favorite dance Iman has done this season. You can see the enjoyment and confidence peek through during this performance, which makes the routine that much more entertaining. The choreography was great and the dance was a great ode to Janet Jackson. Iman, you have done it again! Hoping to see you in the final four this season.

How are we already at the semi-finals? This season has flown by, and although we have seen some tough eliminations, we can’t wait to see who will take home the Mirrorball!
