Conner Habib talks about why he got into porn and the detachment he’s experienced in terms of his own sexuality. He describes how our sexual preferences are unproductive, and talks about monogamy, Prop60, and the link between Christianity and the Occult.
ABOUT LGBTQ&A:
LGBTQ&A is an interview podcast highlighting the different members of the LGBTQ community — artists, activists, lawmakers, and business people. LGBTQ&A is hosted by Jeffrey Masters and produced by AfterBuzz TV. Interviews are also filmed and available on YouTube.
AfterBuzz TV (Los Angeles, CA) is an online broadcast created by E! Host, Maria Menounos and producer, Keven Undergaro, and has over 23 million weekly downloads in over 150 countries. Nicknamed “the aftershow network”, when viewers finish watching episodes of their favorite shows, they can go to afterbuzztv.com to watch or listen to a post-game after-show where hosts break down that night’s episode and interview cast and crew. The network produces over 90 aftershows per week.
Conner Habib is a porn star. He went to school for years and years, eventually teaching at a college until he got worn out by the lack of spirituality and sexuality in academia. Both things, he reasoned, make the world go round, so why aren’t they talked about in school? So he decided to be a porn star.
Conner Habib grew up in suburban PA, where there were KKK marches from time to time. Then he moved to Western Massachusetts and lived, happily, for eight years. He still misses those woods full of turkeys and wind and coyote sounds. But hey, San Francisco isn’t so bad either. He likes the guys on street corners holding hands and the don’t-have-to-drive-everywhere thing and the clean breeze every day. He studies anthroposophy, a Western esoteric tradition, as much as he can, and has experienced a lot of truly weird shit from doing so.
