The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2: Weekly Episodes Starting July 14
The Summer I Turned Pretty is a coming-of-age series created by Jenny Han, who also wrote the novel trilogy. The first season began streaming on Amazon Prime in June 2022, starring Lola Tung as Belly Conklin. Belly finds herself caught in a love triangle between two brothers, played by Gavin Casalegno and Chris Briney. It’s a summer of love, heartbreak, and finding her way as Belly transitions into becoming a young adult.
The season two teaser trailer, which features a new version of Taylor Swift’s “August”, dropped on June 8 and made us even more excited for the show to return. The one minute 23 second trailer teases Belly and Conrad’s relationship, a budding romance between Steven and Taylor, and of course, more heartbreak. We can’t wait to return to the shores of Cousins Beach on July 14th!

Cruel Summer Season 2: Weekly Episodes Starting June 5
Cruel Summer is a teen drama mystery on Freeform. Season 1 follows the story of Texas teenager Jeanette Turner as she takes over Kate Wallis’ life after she goes missing. Kate is the popular teen in town, so when she mysteriously disappears, nerdy Jeanette consumes her popularity. She quickly learns her actions come with repercussions. Olivia Holt stars as Kate Wallis and Chiara Aurelia plays Jeanette Turner.
Each season of Cruel Summer features a new cast of characters who deal with traumatic events over several timelines. Season 2 appears to be set in the Pacific Northwest, and it will explore the ups and downs of teenage friendships. While the first season took place in the 90s, season 2 is said to have a Y2K vibe. Sadie Stanley, Griffin Gluck, KaDee Strickland, Sean Blakemore, Paul Adelstein, and Lisa Yamada join the cast this season. We can’t wait to explore this new storyline starting June 5th!
Grown-ish Season 6: Weekly Episodes Starting June 28
The spinoff of ABC’s Black-ish is a teen sitcom that follows the Johnson family’s children as they go off to college and experience adulthood. The main character Zoey Johnson, played by Yara Shahidi, encounters the customary coming-of-age themes like sex, drugs, and relationships as she discovers that not everything goes her way after leaving home. Throughout the characters’ journeys, difficult topics such as academic scandals, mental health, police brutality, and social justice activism are addressed.
It is confirmed that this will be the series’ sixth and final season, causing fans to speculate how the show will finally end. The main cast is confirmed to return, and guest stars include Lil Yachty, Anderson Paak, The Free Nationals, Kelly Rowland, Omarion, Latto, and NLE Choppa. The season is said to follow Andre Johnson Jr. as he transitions from being Zoey’s little brother to the big man on campus. Heartstopper Season 2: August 3rd
Heartstopper is a British coming-of-age television series streaming on Netflix. The series is adapted from the webcomic and graphic novel by Alice Oseman. The first season, which was released in April 2022, follows high-schooler Charlie Spring as he develops a crush on Nick Nelson although he is unsure about Nick’s sexuality. Throughout the series, Charlie helps Nick discover himself, causing their relationship to blossom despite the outside influences and pressures being put on them.
While we don’t know much about season 2 yet, it appears that this season will also consist of eight episodes. Kit Connor and Joe Locke will return to play the beloved Nick and Charlie. Season 2 is expected to be adapted from volume three of the graphic novel, meaning Nick and Charlie will be navigating their new relationship while embarking on a school trip to Paris. Get ready to binge on August 3rd!
