(Los Angeles) – Highly-decorated singer and songwriter Cliff Beach is continuing his music career and success with the release of his single “Delilah”. In celebration of the release of his single and its accompanying video, the “Nu-funk” artist will be hosting a celebratory event, performing live on June 22nd at Harvelle’s in Santa Monica. As an artist, Cliff has been nominated for (3) LA Music Awards, one Hollywood Music in Media Awardand one Independent Music Award. Described by many as a soul singer with a funky twist, Cliff’s notable song writes are MIB’s “Complicated” (Jungle Entertainment-Korea), Thelma Aoyama’s “Tokeyo” (Universal Music Japan), and Andrew Pong feat. Kahi “Tonight” (Sony Hong Kong) as well as other work for Monet, Layla, J. Zuzanna, Koncrete, Michael Greenberg and Jaeson Ma. He is also a staff member of ST5A-DTLA in Los Angeles and endorsed by TC-Helicon, makers of the Ditto Mic Looper Pedal.
Late last year on October 6, 2017, Cliff Beach released his first full-length studio album “The Gospel According to Cliff Beach”, paying tribute to his roots in Gospel music. The album brought to him his nomination for an Independent Music Awards for the Best Funk/Fusion/Jam category. His other nominees were awarded due to his EP, “Who the Funk is Cliff Beach?”. While “The Gospel According to Cliff Beach” is his full-length studio film,Cliff has also previously released an EP “Stripped Down and Unplugged”.
About Cliff Beach
Funk music artist Cliff Beach has been performing live for more than 10 years in Los Angeles. A voting Member of NARAS, a Songwriter and Publisher with BMI (Please and Funk You Publishing), and an award winning member of Toastmasters International the Berklee-trained singer/songwriter/keyboardist and DC native has created a style of music he coins as “Nu-funk”.
Local Philanthropy
Alongside six others, Cliff Beach founded C.T.O. (Creating the Opportunity), a network of local musicians banding together to create performance opportunities, offer support to one another and to raise awareness on social issues.
“We were tired of playing places with booking agents that didn’t promote and had bands that did not mesh well together on one bill, we decided we could create a more family atmosphere producing our own shows. We were already booking shows together anyway, so it seemed like a logical progression.”
