Breonna Taylor was an innocent woman who was murdered by Louisville police officers, Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove in her own home. During the vice presidential debate, Kamala Harris and Mike Pence were both asked their thoughts on the verdict of her case. Pence’s response can be described as heartless and cold and many viewers were not pleased with his answer. He said he believes in the justice system and doesn’t believe the verdict was wrong.
“The family of Breonna Taylor has our sympathies. But, I trust our justice system, a grand jury refused the evidence, and it really is remarkable as a former prosecutor, you would assume that an impaneled grand jury looking at all the evidence, got it wrong,” he said in a serious tone.

Megan Thee Stallion has no problem with showcasing her stance on social justice issues, especially when it comes to the Black Lives Matter movement. She made a tweet after the vice presidential debate, calling Pence’s response ‘disgusting’.

Chloe and Halle also stepped into the conversation to allow their voices to be heard too. The singing sisters said his response is evidence Taylor has still yet to receive justice.
