The popular K-pop group BTS will be taking over ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ for an entire week!
Get ready, BTS ARMY! BTS is taking over The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for an entire week starting Sept. 28th. The global sensation K-pop group will perform each night with comedy sketches and virtual interviews with Fallon.
The group will also serve as the main guest on the Sept. 30th show during their weeklong takeover.
“I’m so excited to have BTS back on the show. We just started the new season, and we’re working on a lot of really exciting things. One thing that is important to us at The Tonight Show is showcasing talent and creatives, so what better way to kick things off than a full week with them. And this is just the start.” Said Fallon in a statement to Entertainment Weekly.
This won’t be the first time BTS has been on The Tonight Show. The group appeared on a special episode where they performed in ionic areas around New York City, such as Grand Central Station.
We can expect to see a performance of their new hit single Dynamite, which made history by becoming the first K-pop group to top the Billboard Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks.
We hope to see some other performances off their latest album, Map of the Soul: 7, since their concerts had to be postponed due to the pandemic. Songs such as Zero O’Clock, Louder than bombs, and We are Bulletproof would be a huge treat for BTS fans. Fingers crossed that we get to see them perform some of their older hits as well.
With the comedy sketches, we’re sure to get some funny moments between the group members as well.
Overall, “BTS Week” will be exciting and entertainment-filled for BTS fans everywhere!
