Bling Empire: New York Star Lynn Ban Dies After Skiing Accident

Lynn Ban, a celebrated jewelry designer and cast member of Netflix’s Bling Empire: New York, has passed away at the age of 51. The tragic news was shared by her family on Wednesday, weeks after Ban suffered a life-altering skiing accident in Aspen, Colorado.

“My mum passed away on Monday,” her son, Sebastian, wrote on her Instagram account, accompanied by a series of heartfelt family photos. “I know she wanted to share her journey after her accident and brain surgery, so I thought she would appreciate one last post sharing the news to people who supported her.”

On Christmas Eve, Lynn Ban experienced a skiing accident during a family vacation in Aspen. In a previous Instagram post, she detailed the harrowing experience.

“At the top of the mountain, I caught a tip and face-planted,” Lynn Ban wrote, adding that she was wearing a helmet and initially believed the injury was minor. She skied to the bottom of the slope and was cleared by ski patrol for a concussion. However, a paramedic recommended she seek further medical evaluation, a decision that ultimately saved her life.

Within 30 minutes of arriving at the hospital, Lynn Ban learned she had a brain bleed and required an emergency craniotomy. She expressed gratitude for her husband, Jett, who stayed by her side throughout her recovery.

Born in Singapore, Lynn Ban lived and worked in New York, London, and Paris, immersing herself in the world of fashion and design.
