AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Mini Spotlight edition, is a short form interview series featuring actors & artists discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Amy Cassandra interviews Savannah Kennick.
Actor Blake Cooper Griffin is taking Hollywood by storm. Having already garnered huge successes in the past couple of years with key roles opposite Hollywood A-listers including Helen Hunt and Cuba Gooding Jr., Griffin excels at taking on a variety of different roles, in both film or television, transitioning seamlessly between every medium he enters, including his current role as the star of CW Seed’s first original full-length feature film, BEERFEST: THIRST FOR VICTORY, which just launched on their digital channel commercial-free on Tuesday, June 4th.
In BEERFEST: THIRST FOR VICTORY, a group of twenty-something friends, struggling to recapture the rowdy glory of their college days, reunite to compete in an underground drinking competition and take down the tournament’s evil CEO. Inspired by the 2006 cult classic movie, “Beerfest,” the digital feature follows Scott, Rob, Adam, Doberman, and Melanie as they attempt to master the American competitive drinking circuit. Along the way, they rediscover their original, raucous friendships and are reminded that life happens outside of the cubicle.

Griffin is showing his comedic chops in the film, a departure from his most recent project, the drama feature LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED? based off the successful short film from Kim Rocco Shields which also starred and also stars Emily Osment, Tyler Blackburn, Jeremy Sisto and Elisabeth Rohm in the provocative drama set in a world where being gay is the norm and heterosexual persons are bullied. Griffin portrayed his most intense role yet playing Bill Bradley, fraternity president and football player who has major issues with some of the relationships. Griffin also appeared in an episode of AMC’s “Preacher” last season, in which he appeared nude in the episode titled “Pig.”
Griffin, a South Carolina native, is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Drama, where he trained to become an accomplished acting professional. Griffin made international headlines in 2016 as he appeared on the front lines of the Hillary Clinton campaign in Iowa in support of the Secretary’s Presidential campaign, which wrapped up in the middle of shooting BEERFEST, so Griffin can discuss going to the set of a comedy after tragedy on election night. Griffin is also creating content with Kim Shaw (“Saving Hope”) for various upcoming projects which he’s developing.
