Prime Video announces a new behind-the-scenes docuseries chronicling Birmingham city’s dramatic 2024 promotion and cultural resurgence.
Birmingham City Football Club is getting the All or Nothing treatment. Prime Video has announced a brand-new documentary series chronicling the club’s defining 2024 season—one that saw them earn promotion to the EFL Sky Bet Championship. Launching in Summer 2025, the untitled docuseries will offer a rare behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the historic club, featuring exclusive access to players, coaches, and high-profile owners like Tom Brady. The series will be available to stream in over 200 countries and territories worldwide.
Birmingham City’s return to the EFL Sky Bet Championship is set to be captured like never before in an upcoming documentary series from Prime Video, premiering worldwide in Summer 2025.
The untitled docuseries tracks an unforgettable season for Birmingham City, with embedded camera crews following First-Team players, coaching staff, and top-level ownership through every key moment—from pre-season preparations to the elation of promotion. The project also features in-depth interviews and behind-the-scenes footage of Tom Brady, the American football legend who joined the club as a minority owner in 2023, and Tom Wagner, Chairman of Birmingham City and Co-Founder of Knighthead Capital Management.
But the series promises more than just matchday drama. It dives deep into the soul of the club, spotlighting Birmingham City’s vibrant supporter base and the club’s mission to restore its former glory. Viewers will get an inside look at the effort to instil a winning culture, along with the historic and cultural identity that fuels the team’s ambitions.
The documentary is executive produced by Steven Knight, the acclaimed creator of Peaky Blinders and a lifelong Birmingham City fan. His storytelling will help shape an authentic narrative that reflects the heart of the club. He’s joined by Matt Alvarez (Straight Outta Compton, Straight Outta LA, Are We There Yet?), a board member of Birmingham City and a producer with deep ties to transformative sports storytelling.
Production duties are being handled by Religion of Sports—the team behind Rodgers: Enigma, In the Arena: Serena Williams, and Kobe Bryant’s Muse—and Whisper, known for Ben Stokes: Phoenix from the Ashes and Sven. The series was conceived by Tom Brady and Gotham Chopra, co-founder of Religion of Sports, who also serves as co-director alongside Claudia Corbisiero (Sven).
This addition to Prime Video’s expanding lineup of sports storytelling joins critically acclaimed series like All or Nothing: Arsenal, Doubters to Believers: Liverpool FC – Klopp’s Era, 99, We Are Newcastle United, and Take Us Home: Leeds United. The platform also continues to stream live events including UEFA Champions League football in the UK, NFL Thursday Night Football in the U.S., and, starting later this year, the NBA globally.
As Birmingham City’s loyal fans celebrate a long-awaited rise, the upcoming series will chronicle the emotion, grit, and vision behind the club’s transformation—one that could reignite the spirit of a footballing giant.
