What have the members of the band Big Time Rush been up to since their last show?
News that Big Time Rush would be reuniting for two shows this December in Chicago and New York took the internet by storm earlier this week. So what have the members of the band been up to since their last show in 2014?
Kendall Schmidt
After it was announced that Big Time Rush would not continue, Schmidt returned to his band Heffron Drive which he was in the years before BTR was formed. In 2014, they released their single “Parallel.” That same year, they dropped their album Happy Mistakes. Kendall has also been on the Nickelodeon adaptation of “School of Rock” as Justin Night Lizard.
Logan Henderson
Following the end of the band, Logan took a three-year hiatus from music, releasing his first solo single, “Sleepwalker,” in December 2016. After dropping three more singles, he released his debut album Echoes of Departure and the Endless Street of Dreams- Pt. 1. Before that he featured on Heffron Drive’s 2015 song, “Passing Time.”
James Maslow
After the end of the show, James appeared on season 18 of Dancing With the Stars with Peta Murgatroyd, finishing fourth. A year later, he released his first solo single “Lies” with his debut album, How I Like It, following in 2017. Big Brother fans might recognize him from the first season of the celebrity edition where he was evicted on day 24. He has continued releasing music throughout 2019; that same year he announced he would be starring in an independent film alongside Emily Bett Rickards.
Carlos PenaVega
In 2014, Carlos released his solo single in Spanish, “Electrico.” That same year he married Alexa Vega (Carmen Cortez in Spy Kids) and now they have three kids. Much like James, he also competed on Dancing With the Stars, although in 2015. He was partnered with Witney Carson and also came in fourth. Since 2016, he’s been the voice of Bobby Santiago on The Loud House.
