BET star, Bert Belasco, has passed away at age 38.
Belasco was known for his role on the BET show “Let’s Stay Together” in which he played Charles. He was recently in the works of filming a new movie and was quarantining in a Richmond, Virginia hotel room to prepare for the role.
TMZ and other outlets reported that he was found dead in his hotel room this morning. Bert Sr., the actor’s father, stated that he believes his son may have had an aneurysm. However, official autopsy results have not been released.
Actress and co-star, Jackee Harry, tweeted to express her heartbreak. The two worked on numerous projects together.

Bert’s friend, Yvonne Nicole Brown, also posted this tweet after hearing the news.
I am gutted by this news. Bert was my friend! We had JUST talked last week. He was happy and excited about his new project and all the good that was to come.
