We are always in need of great looks to wear on vacation and HBO’s White Lotus season 2 has tons of inspiration. Here are 8 vacation-ready looks to have on your next getaway!
If season two of HBO’s White Lotus has given us anything, it’s the strong urge to shop for a tropical vacation we don’t even have planned. The show does an amazing job of creating an aesthetic that unfolds with each character’s development. With a relocation to a gorgeous coastal town in Sicily, this season sees lots of vacationcore/Eurocore/Italycore — essentially, the aesthetic of sipping an Aperol spritz by the Mediterranean while draped in layers of linen. Let’s take a look at some of the best looks so far and styles we can add to our own vacation wardrobes!
Daphne’s Bathing Suit
With The Little Mermaid being a big fashion trend for spring 2023, this underwater fantasy bathing suit with a plunging neckline feels very appropriate for the now — with enough desperation to keep the audience on their toes. Daphne is known for bright colors and patterns, so this was a strong first look for the season’s premiere.
Lucia’s Glasses
We are absolutely obsessed with sunglasses this season! Lucia always has bold accessories, and there’s nothing more fierce than these Dolce & Gabbana cat eye sunglasses. They completely elevate a classic black bathing suit and are being added to our holiday wishlist!
Daphne’s Designer Look
This Louis Vuitton Raffia Tote, the bright floral Gucci blouse, and the sleek pencil skirt scream “Italian vacation.” For Daphne’s character, a stay-at-home mom at a luxury resort; it fits.
Portia’s Casual Vacation Style
Portia is every intern realizing they have no idea what they just signed up for. We are obsessed with her House of Sunny sweater vest and sunglasses from Crap Eyewear. She may be having a rough time, but she sure looks fab doing it!
Harper’s Skirt Set
This more buttoned-up (literally) approach of Plaza’s character is seen within minutes of the opening scenes. While her travel companions opt for brighter colors and bold prints, she wears black, white, and neutrals with tailored silhouettes. Pay attention to the details, because Harper still likes the finer things, like her Bottega Veneta tote that retails for $4,200.
Tanya’s Ruffle Dress
Puff sleeves, ruffles, and a sassy print — this midi is every bit as extra as Coolidge herself. She exudes wealth, with this Dolce and Gabbana dress, while delivering the J. Cool charm that she is so beloved for.
Cameron’s Matching Set
Nothing says vacation like a matching Cabana shirt-short set, especially when you consider the multitude of wild colors, prints, and indeed, full animal graphics available. We understand that you need to dress for the occasion, but this print explosion and the mixture of cropped shorts and tailored jacket veers too close to caricature.
Daphne’s Noto Outfit
At first, we weren’t sold on Meghann Fahy’s floaty character, Daphne, but after she took Harper to a random Palazzo in Noto and fed her edibles, we were pleasantly surprised. It’s also very clear she is the queen of vacation wardrobes, closely tied with Tanya. This Zimmerman silk dress is the perfect attire for a spontaneous girls trip in Sicily.
