The proud new dad reassured followers that both mom and baby are doing well, expressing gratitude for the medical team that helped bring their daughter into the world. “She is healthy. @jessclarke_ is doing so well. I don’t yet have words for what just happened but the update right now is we have a daughter and Jess is recovering so well. The nurses and doctors who cared for us should be lifted high,” he wrote.

In December, The Bachelor alum opened up about the mix of emotions he felt leading up to his daughter’s arrival. He admitted he was a little nervous but incredibly excited for the special bond they would share. “It’s frightening,” he said. “A girl’s going to break me, and I don’t know in what ways yet, but it’s going to happen, and I’m prepared for it.” He also looked forward to tea parties, nail painting, and being the example of love and support his daughter deserves.
