AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Mini Spotlight edition, is a short form interview series featuring actors & artists discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Morgan Willett interviews Audrey Walters.
Walters also most recently portrayed another real estate agent who is house hunting with Jane Fonda in the romantic drama Our Souls at Night, which also stars Robert Redford from Netflix.
Walters’ first standout role was in La Pequena Gente, a south-of-the-border stage version of Les Miserables, where she played the Fantine character as a Mexican immigrant.
Her television credits include: Preacher, Killer Women, What if?, Mile High Laci, Revenge for Real: Rocky Mountain Retribution, and The Locals. Her feature credits include: The Lake, Camouflage, Diablo Canyon, Condemned 2, Summer of Silence, Great Gain, Paint the Sky, Every November, Self Portrait, and After the Fall.
A native of San Antonio, who grew up in nearby Uvalde, Texas, Walters carved an unusual path to an acting career. As a student at Texas Tech University, she studied broadcast journalism, where she enjoyed television work and storytelling. However, a thirteen-year commitment as a stay-at-home mom, led her to put any thespian ambitions on hold. When her doctor-husband was transferred to a hospital in Denver, Colorado, she signed up for local acting classes, and workshops and pursued her dream with vigor. She was particularly inspired by her acting mentor, Brian McCulley. The irony is that she found herself in classes with her own young daughter – inspiring her dreams by following her own.
