Ariana Grande Celebrates 2 Year Anniversary of Thank U Next

Ariana Grande released her powerful and emotionally charged album, ‘Thank U, Next,’ 2 years ago. To celebrate, we have the top boss moments from the queen herself.

Ariana left everyone shook when she released thank u, next just months after dropping Sweetener. It came during an emotional period in Ariana’s life, and many Arianators refer to the album as being “a cultural reset.” The album showcased the powerful nature of a woman who’s gone through numerous heartbreaks and life challenges, yet still manages to dominate and come on top. Themes of mental and emotional healing, self-love, and female empowerment turned this album into an everyday anthem. It features hit songs like “thank u, next,” “7 rings,” and “break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored.”

Ariana took to social media today to thank her fans and celebrate the 2 year anniversary.

Ariana had the internet going crazy after releasing the “thank u, next” music video. Throughout the whole video, Ariana incorporated references to iconic female-focused movies.

Following the release of her fifth studio album, thank u, next, Ariana broke multiple charts and streaming records. She made Billboard history when her singles, “7 rings,” “break up with your girlfriend,” and “thank u, next,” consecutively held the first, second, and third spots on the Billboard Hot 100—a record that had been held by the Beatles since 1964.

Ariana Shutting Down Sexism and Double Standards

In 2015, Ariana shared this screenshot of a lengthy iPhone note she wrote, where she slammed society for its double standards and sexist objectification. She went on to say that she wanted everyone to feel valued as individuals and called on the media to help her get that message of support across.

Ariana’s SNL Vocal Impressions

In 2016, Ariana was invited to be a host on SNL. In a sketch that poked fun at Tidal’s streaming service, she played the role of an intern that had to save the company when the power and streams got cut off. Sweetener Tour Voter Registration

While Ariana was making her way around the world on her Sweetener Tour in 2019, she was also rallying up her fans to register to vote. She worked alongside the voter registration organization Head Count and broke the all-time record of voters registered on tour!
