This year Mexican American 90 Day Fiancé star Fernanda Flores is celebrating by teaming up with Korbel to launch her new line of bottle fashion inspired by traditional Mexican attire.

Each of the four individualized pieces is handcrafted and inspired by the vibrancy of her cultural background, as well as the bright colors and sweet flavors of Korbel Sweet Rosé.

“It is an absolute pleasure to work with Korbel Sweet Rosé to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in such a unique way that combines culture, fashion, and fun,” said Flores, “This collection is a deeply personal expression of my pride as both a Latina and an American.”

Flores recently sat down with Linda Antwi on her show 90 Day The Melanated Way to discuss her collaboration with Korbel, how she came up with her line, her future plans with TLC, and more!

Flores hand-sketched each design to represent the blending of traditions, cultures, and styles that reflect Flores’ immigrant experience, and they were produced using artisanal techniques passed down for generations. During the interview, she talked about creating her designs that were brought to life with the help of Mexican designer Taksami.

“The flowers and the handcraft design is; it’s very cultural. And also the borders in the beginning; that’s also very authentic. So with this designer specific, we wanted to make it simple to wear in any body type. I think that any woman can dress, and of course, I mean it looks so cute in the bottle as well.”

She also explained how they took her culture’s clothing and adapted it to go with the Korbel Sweet Rosé.

“We played around with the authentic version of things in my country but inspired ourselves with the colors of the campaign and the Korbel bottle.”

Bringing aspects of her cultural heritage was very important to Flores to honor her family, namely her grandmother. She explained how the line is an homage to her grandmother and the way she made her feel.

“You can see that there is different type of flowers. My last name is Flores which is meaning on Spanish is flowers, so I always felt very connected to nature and flowers and plants. If you see my balcony, you see so many plants because I just love it, and I usually also; I grew up in my grandma’s backyard. She will have so many different roses and different types, so this is kinda more thinking of her. And that’s what she, the way how she will make you feel, you know, very loved and special and I feel like she was always my safe place. Like I knew no matter what would happen to me in my life that I could always go back to her, and she will make me feel like I’m home and I’m ok, and nothing’s mattered like yes, she’s just going to be like yeah Mija everything is good. So, after she’s gone, I realized that I had to build that for myself because that was not there anymore, so I’m in that journey, so with this, I also try to tell myself that like she’s here like I’m her in somehow.”

Of course, the interview couldn’t end without inquiring if we will see her again on TLC and 90 Day. She responded that she couldn’t talk about it, and we would all just have to stay tuned, which sounds like a resounding yes to me!
