The Disastrous Life of Saiki K – To Make You Laugh
Saiki Kusuo, a pink-haired high schooler born with psychic abilities, including telepathy, astral projection, and clairvoyance, struggles to live a regular life. Saiki attempts to hide his secret from his classmates, who gravitate towards him as he deals with their antics. Each personality is equally quirky, distinctly individual, and loveable, making the series funny and light. The show is hilarious and entertaining. There are three seasons to keep you entertained on Netflix.
One Punch Man – A Superhero Show
A superhero, Saitama, who can beat anyone with only one punch, grows bored with how easily he can defeat his opponents. Saitama hesitant takes on an apprentice, Genos, and the two join the Hero Association. The humor is dry and quick, and it’s highly entertaining. The characters, humor, and ongoing storyline create a terrific viewing experience. Fans eagerly await the third season, and you’ll want to catch up on the first two before its release.
The Promised Neverland – A Dark Fantasy
Things are seemingly comfortable at the children’s orphanage until three older, intelligent kids, Emma, Ray, and Norman, uncover some darker truths about the facility. As the three orchestrate an escape plan, they must elude their caretaker and hide the vicious facts from the others. Again, the Japanese voice acting and writing are incredible, and you’re sure to grow invested in the characters. The second season may have lost the way a tiny bit, but it’s still a worthwhile, mind-blowing anime as a whole.
Attack on Titan – A Horror
The anime follows Eren Jaeger and friends Mikasa Ackermann and Armin Arlelt, who join the Scout Regimen to fight off the giant beasts, or titans, that have demolished the walls that divide them and civilized humanity. The show is sure to get you invested in characters and rip them away from you just as quickly, making for an enthralling, heartbreaking watch. The action is incredible, and the continuous plotline is captivating. While there are four seasons of the show, unfortunately, only the first season is on Netflix.
Ouran High School Host Club – A Romantic Comedy
Haruhi Fujioka is a teenage girl at an exclusive private school. She must pose as a boy and join the school’s host club to repay her debt. Haruhi develops a heartwarming bond with the boys, and each character shows their personality, backstory, and growth throughout the season. The show can sometimes become a little odd, but it’s a quick light watch that will keep you entertained and invested throughout the show’s one and only season.
Hunter x Hunter – An Adventure Fantasy
Twelve-year-old Gon dreams of passing the hunter exams to become a hunter like his father, who dropped him with his aunt in infancy. We follow his adventures at the trials and beyond and the friends and enemies he makes along the way. The fights are physically and psychologically intense, and the show will keep you engaged and invested.
