Fasten your seatbelts and get ready to blast off in our time machine! Season 6 of Rick and Morty is now running, so let’s revisit the moments that made us LOL throughout the years!
Season 1 Episode 5 – Meseeks and Destroy
In this hilarious season 1 episode, Jerry’s ineptitude enrages an entirely new alien species. Rick introduces Jerry, Beth, and Summer to the Meeseeks box, which summons beings known as Mr. Meeseeks, whose goal is to assist someone with a task and then vanish from existence.
Season 2 Episode 5 – Get Schwifty
In this super memorable episode, a huge extraterrestrial head looms over the Earth, messing with gravity and causing various catastrophes. When the alien head yells, “Show me what you got,” Rick rushes to The Pentagon to alert the President that the alien head is a “Cromulon” asking for a live performance of a catchy new song. The song “Get Schwifty” instantly became a hit.
Season 3 Episode 3 – Pickle Rick
“Pickle Rick,” perhaps one of Rick and Morty’s most well-known episodes, has Rick essentially transform himself into an intelligent pickle in order to avoid attending family therapy. After he argues that a liquid-filled syringe linked to a timer set for ten minutes after his family has left is entirely accidental, Beth calls his bluff and brings the syringe to therapy with her, eventually forcing him to join them.
Season 4 Episode 2 – The Old Man And The Seat
When Rick arrives at his own toilet on his own planet and discovers that someone else has already used it, he goes to great measures to identify the perpetrator and murder them. Meanwhile, despite specific warnings not to develop an app with Rick’s alien intern “Glootie”, Jerry is unable to resist and the app begins to harm the human race.
Season 5 Episode 1 – Mort Dinner Rick Andre
During this episode Morty is brought back from the edge by the power of prospective love, rescuing him and Rick from a fiery death. When they arrive at the Smith residence for what they expect to be a calm night of romance and healing, they find their night plans spoiled in a variety of ways by the arrival of Mr. Nimbus an arch nemesis of Rick.
Season 6 Episode 2 – A Mort Well Lived
Although Season 6 is still in its beginning, we can say with confidence that this episode stands out already. Summer’s Die Hard ignorance is used repeatedly in this episode, as she blunders her way through some of the film’s most memorable sequences with her cute alien walkie-talkie, ignoring the villain’s disdain for her lack of 80s cinema culture. Whether it’s Summer wearing a pistol sling or cowering beneath a table, Gruber shooting a captive, or the two’s last confrontation, it’s evident the writers had a lot of fun creating this one.
Let us know which episodes you LOL’d to the most!
