Many listeners quickly noticed that “Rockstar” might have sampled Tame Impala’s “New Person, Same Old Mistakes”. The dreamy, psychedelic tones from the original track blend effortlessly with Lisa’s bold sound. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the song has been sampled—Rihanna also used it in her track “Same Ol’ Mistakes” on her ANTI album.
