The Crown is an excellent example of a breathtaking historical drama with amazing actors and actresses portraying the most authentic versions of their characters. It is a beautifully filmed show, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a fantastic story.

The Queen’s Gambit (Netflix)
One of the more shocking wins of last night was The Queen’s Gambit taking home the Outstanding Limited Series, which was well deserved after how amazing the show did on Netflix. In the acceptance speech, executive producer William Horberg said this to Anya Taylor-Joy: “You brought the sexy back to chess, and you inspired a whole generation of girls and young women to realize that patriarchy simply has no defense on our queens.” This entire show will suck you in and cause you to rethink chess all over again!

Mare of Easttown (HBOMAX)
The award for Lead Actress in a Limited, Anthology Series or Movie went to Kate Winslet last night for her role as a small-town detective Mare Sheehan. Mare of Easttown shines a light on a middle-aged mother who has struggled within her life but still manages to find a way to be a powerful figure in her way. Mare of Easttown is a fantastic show of female empowerment and is a must-watch!
