20th Century Classic Films Coming to Amazon Prime April 1st

Amazon prime has some huge movies coming out on April 1st. Get ready for these classics to hit your home theatre!

Titanic

The first classic film on our list is tied with some of the greatest movies ever made for most Oscar nominations in history! Titanic was released in 1997, and it stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet and is based on the real sinking of the R.M.S Titanic. The romantic tragedy follows a young Aristocrat who falls in love with a poor artist before the eventual sinking of the ship.

Top Gun

The second movie on our list is the action film Top Gun. The 1986 movie follows a young and cocky fighter pilot Pete Mitchell, played by Tom Cruise, who attends Top Gun Naval Fighter Weapons School. He is at odds with the other pilots due to his attitude, as he wants to prove himself as the top pilot.

The Breakfast Club

The next movie on our list of classics is The Breakfast Club, which was released in 1985. The Breakfast Club is about five different kids from different social groups within their high school. They all meet in detention, and throughout the course of their detention, they realize they have more in common than they thought. This dramedy stars Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, and Anthony Micheal Hall.

Forrest Gump

Let’s talk about life; some say it’s like a box of chocolates, and by some, I mean Forrest Alexander Gump. The next movie on our list is the forever classic Forrest Gump, released in 1994 and starring Tom Hanks in an unforgettable performance. The film is the originator of a multitude of quotable scenes; it follows the journey of a man who just wants to reunite with the love of his life; along the way, he finds himself living in various different historic events.

The Longest Yard

The fifth movie on our list is the hilarious classic The Longest Yard, released in 1974. The Longest Yard follows an ex-football star who, while in prison, is forced by the warden to organize a football team to go against his guards. The movie stars Burt Reynolds as Paul Crewe.

The Big Lebowski

The last movie on our list is the beloved movie The Big Lebowski. The 1998 film follows “The Dude,” AKA Jeff Lebowski, played by Jeff Bridges, who is mistaken for a millionaire with the same name. His rug is ruined, so he embarks on a journey to seek restitution and is later hired by the millionaire to track down his wife.
