What to Expect in Season 2
As the Duttons face new and familiar threats, 1923 Season 2 promises high-stakes drama. The official description teases a harsh winter that brings new challenges to Jacob and Cara Dutton, while their nephew Spencer embarks on a perilous journey home to protect the family’s legacy in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra sets out on a dangerous trans-Atlantic quest to reunite with Spencer.
Season 2 will also see the rise of Donald Whitfield (played by Timothy Dalton) as a major antagonist, attempting to seize control of the Dutton ranch to transform Montana into “a playground for the elite.”
In January 2025, Paramount+ released the first full-length trailer, showcasing Spencer’s dangerous journey and Cara fiercely defending the ranch. This follows two teasers released in December 2024, hinting at mounting tensions and conflicts at the Dutton ranch.
